Short answer: stock cabinets are made in fixed sizes before anyone orders them, semi-custom cabinets start from a fixed range and let you change some sizes and finishes, and custom cabinets are made to the drawings of one project. Moyisi, a cabinet factory in Foshan, China, makes custom cabinets to order.

What is the difference between stock, semi-custom and custom cabinets?

Which type of cabinet does Moyisi make?

Moyisi makes custom cabinets to order: kitchens, wardrobes, bathroom cabinets and whole-house cabinetry, each made to the approved drawings of one project. Moyisi's minimum order is USD 5,000.

How long do custom cabinets from Moyisi take?

Moyisi's production takes 35–45 days, counted from approved final drawings to goods ready at the factory. Sea freight to an Australian port takes a further 21–35 days, so 35–45 + 21–35 = 56–80 days door to door for Australia. Sea freight is confirmed for each order by destination port and cargo volume. Custom cabinet lead times from China sets out each stage.

How are custom cabinets priced?

Custom cabinets are priced from the drawings, by size and by specification. Moyisi publishes guide ranges of USD 50–200+ per linear metre FOB for kitchen cabinets, depending on the door finish. The tiers are in kitchen cabinet prices from China. From Moyisi, a first quotation normally follows within 2 to 7 days, depending on how complete the drawings are and how many rooms are in scope.

What do I need to decide before ordering custom cabinets?

• The rooms in scope and the measurements of each room.
• The carcass board. See plywood, MDF or particleboard.
• The door style and finish. See cabinet door styles and melamine or wood veneer.
• The hardware brand.
• The trade term you want the price on. See EXW, FOB, CIF, DAP or DDP.
